NEW MEXICO!!!!

The Grammy Goose Grandkid Marathon was done in 3 stages:

1st Stage - Autumn in Logan, UT

2nd Stage- Jackson & Celeste came to Bountiful, UT

3rd Stage- Julia in Rio Rancho, NM

But who is number 1?

Notice the real food is not being eaten, just the plastic pretend food!

There was an Easter egg hunt.

And a trip to Bountiful Lake.

Mandy & G. Goose flew into Albuquerque Thurs. night. On Fri., the 4 girls spent the day in Albuquerque. We went to the aquarium.

And the Botanical Gardens.

Then we went to Old Town and ate lunch at a Mexican restaurant - Little Anitas. We loved the sopapillas.

Then we parked at the Aquarium and rode on the fun little train to the zoo.

Grammy Goose's favorite animal:

John & Meli have a beautiful new home. They also have a little hippie!

On Sat. we went to Bandelier Natl. Monument. We saw pueblos like San Ysidro and Jemez. We bought bread baked in the outdoor ovens and fry bread at this stand. The drive through the Jemez Mtns. was beautiful.

Soda Dam

Bandelier is in Frijoles Canyon. You get to walk to ruins of ancestors of modern day pueblo people. There is the pueblo and kivas on the floor of the canyon, but also cave rooms carved in the volcanic tuff.

We came home via Santa Fe. On Sun. we went to church at the Bernalillo Ward. I went to Julia's Sunbeam class with her.

That evening, we walked on trails in the Rio Grande bosque. John is still a champion rock skipper.
