To celebrate my 60th birthday, all my kids and grandkids met up in Cortez, CO over Labor Day weekend. The train theme rest stop in Spanish Fork Canyon is the best.
My vehicle and the Cummins's vehicle traveled together
until we stopped at Hole in the Rock by Moab and to buy Anasazi beans in Dove Creek, CO.
The best part of the trip was the cousins having so much fun together.

We stayed 3 nights in 3 suites at the Best Western Turquoise Inn in Cortez. On Fri. night we enjoyed Indian dancing at the cultural center. This is Ramona from Bluewater Lake, NM.
At he motel there was an outdoor pool and an indoor hot tub pool. We greatly enjoyed the motel provided breakfasts and using the patio for other meals and the birthday party.

On Sat. morning, we all went to Mesa Verde Natl. Park as we had tickets for the Long House ruin tour on Wetherill Mesa. People in 2 cars saw a bear.

After a picnic lunch, everybody split up to do different things. My car (Crenshaws, Mandy & me) went to the Cliff Palace overlook
and Spruce Tree House ruin. We saw wild horses.

Sat. night we were glad for the covered patio because it rained all evening. We ate pizza and celebrated birthdays including Elena #1 birthday with the cookie monster cake that Meli made. Amy & Autumn made a strawberry pinata. I got a very clever gift, a southwest painting with everybody's thumb print as the leaves on the tree.

On Sun. we all went to church in Cortez. After lunch on the patio we all went for a ride to Lizard Head Pass in the San Juan Mts. It was breathtaking scenery. We went as far as Telluride.

Here are some of the family pictures taken. Some were taken on this drive and some at other times.

And now back to Lizard Head Pass.

On Mon. we all left to go home. It was such a marvelous reunion. I love all my kids, their spouses and my grandkids so much. I am so proud of all of them.
